Effectively immediately, Foxy Banana will no longer be selling web hosting services. However, I will continue to provide free hosting to friends, family, and those involved in the LGBT community who would like to create a little space to have their own site. I will also continue to provide a free, public, XMPP service for as long as I can.

Why have I decided to stop selling web hosting? There's a few reasons. Primarily, the web hosting market is just a pain. Seriously. There are people out there who will sell you 2-3 times what I can afford to sell you at my rates, for $3 per month. Forget that! It's just not worth it, especially not with the things that some customers expect after dealing with these other providers.

This doesn't mean in any way that I haven't appreciated the business my customers have provided me. It simply means there's not much reason in continuing to do business as a hosting provider when it's next to impossible to actually turn a profit and not oversell the hell out of your services.
